Marc Kiska

Biographie

Born in
1983 and raised near Saint-Etienne in France, Marc Kiska currently lives in
Norway. As a teenager, while in class he writes his first short stories. At
twenty, and looking to illustrate his writings, he turns towards photography
and makes it his profession. An uncategorizable photographer, he constantly
refines the nuances of his art, between sensuality and violence, poetry and
mystery. What is his favorite photographic as well as literary subject?
Adolescence: its quest for freedom and authenticity, and its ultimate failure
in opposing conformism's pressure. In 2017 Marc publishes Alice's Relics
(Editions Tabou), his first novel for which he is awarded the 2017 Gay novel
prize. The novel now completes his body of internationally published
photographs, as well as a first Artbook, Outlandish /ROOM/ published by the
artist himself in 2014. In 2021 the Artbook's latest edition expanded with
fifty additional unpublished pieces is released by Abstractions.
